He is commissioned on the 15th May 1915, to the Queens Regiment

The CWGC site tells us he was in the 2nd Battalion Queens, and aged 29 when he dies; son of Edward & Katherine Brocklehurst; and he is buried at Dantzig Alley cemetery. Mametz (Somme).

The 1911 census lists him as a Law Student, aged 24, living at Kinnersley Manor, Reigate with this parents. he has an older sister Unett, aged 35. His father Edward is a farmer, aged 68, who was born in Cheshire and his mother, aged 57, was born in Aden, Arabia.
