Edinburgh Gazette 30 July 1917

Temp 2nd Lieutenant Maurice Gregory Milsom, R Fus :
For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. When in command of a platoon he showed the greatest gallantry in leading bombing attacks during which he took many prisoners and drove strong parties of the enemy out of our trenches with heavy loss. His courage and dash had a wonderful effect upon his men.
