WEBB, Lieut. Clarence Harold ... ... ... ... ... 3/Norfolk

Near ALBERT, 30th June to 1st July, 1918. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty.
Finding the right battalion was out of communication he at once proceeded to the front line, having to crawl most of the way, being continually subjected to machine-gun fire. He established communication successfully, and later the same day he managed to restore the line at a point within 30 yards of the enemy. By his unbounded energy and perseverance he maintained forward communications during a period of great importance.
